Charles Benjamin Jenkins rented a 2020 Volvo on Sept. 7 at a Fort Lauderdale towing organization, then used it to burglarize two autos in Palm Beach, in accordance to police.

Now the 21-year-outdated Fort Lauderdale man has been charged in quite a few “high end” car thefts in Palm Beach, in accordance to a report.

On the afternoon of Sept. 9, the report mentioned, Palm Beach police viewed as the rented car or truck crossed the Southern Boulevard Bridge into Palm Beach front and pulled into the driveway of a house on West Indies Drive, then opened the unlocked door of a 2018 Selection Rover and took a Louis Vuitton handbag with $2,000 inside of.
Officers tailed the Volvo until it stopped in entrance of a house on Orange Grove Road, around North County Road, where by Jenkins tried using to burglarize another unlocked automobile parked in a driveway, but he took off when he read the owner’s canine barking.
He then drove again to Fort Lauderdale, the report said.

A Broward County deputy began pursuing the vehicle following looking at a passenger in the Volvo toss a purse out the window in close proximity to Fort Lauderdale, which later turned out to be the bag stolen in Palm Beach front, law enforcement claimed.

The towing agency identified Jenkins, but when officers referred to as him, he mentioned he had no plan the Volvo had been associated in robberies. He reported he rented it for an additional person, who afterwards reported it stolen.
Jenkins also claimed he had not noticed the automobile immediately after giving it to the other man or woman, even though the GPS showed it parked at Jenkins’ Fort Lauderdale deal with on Sept. 9. Police also located a photo on Jenkins’ phone that confirmed the Volvo shortly immediately after it strike the tree, the law enforcement report claimed.
