A 35-calendar year-aged man was arrested right after authorities say he established a rental motor vehicle on fire before it exploded close to the San Antonio Intercontinental Airport.

A rental car or truck “exploded as if it contained ammunition” in close proximity to a Texas airport right after a man set it on hearth, in accordance to local reports.
Authorities say a 35-yr-outdated person set the automobile on hearth at a gasoline station in the vicinity of the San Antonio Intercontinental Airport prior to driving towards the terminals above the weekend, KENS reported.
As the car turned immersed in flames, officials say the suspect escaped and ran absent, according to WOAI.
The motor vehicle then exploded like it was complete of ammo, police explained, in accordance to the San Antonio Categorical-News.
Law enforcement and firefighters ended up called to the explosion in the 9000 block of Airport Boulevard at about 10 p.m. Saturday, June 11, KSAT claimed. No person was located within the auto, and no one described any accidents.
Authorities employed surveillance films to uncover the suspect, WOAI claimed. He was afterwards arrested by San Antonio Airport Police outside Terminal B.
He faces an arson demand, KSAT noted, and the investigation is ongoing.
