A woman was stabbed somewhere around 50 times with a screwdriver at an Arizona automobile components store, police stated.
The girl was seeking for a part for her van at the Pull N Help save in Glendale on March 19, law enforcement claimed in a probable induce assertion.
She was with 31-year-old Joel Andrew Wier, and the two ended up pushed to the store by his mom, police mentioned.
Wier went in the store right after the woman and is accused of beating her and stabbing her about 50 situations in head, neck and shoulder, law enforcement explained.
Law enforcement said they observed the injured female near a van at the retail store and a bloody screwdriver and folded knife next to her.
Wier experienced blood on his fingers, police claimed, and he was held in the van by workers until finally officers arrived.
Workers informed law enforcement that Wier repeatedly claimed that he didn’t stab the woman. They instructed police he was rambling and appeared “out of it.”
The lady was taken to a medical center for surgical procedure with life-threatening injuries, police stated.
Wier would not communicate to law enforcement when they questioned him about the stabbing, police explained.
He faces rates of attempted aggravated assault creating serious physical injuries, second-diploma attempted murder, resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated assault.
His bail is established at $500,000. His subsequent courtroom hearing is March 25 in Phoenix.
